(a) The 1975-76 Phoenix Suns, season record: 42-40, who pushed a superior Boston Celtics team to 6 games in the 1976 NBA Finals and played The Greatest Game Ever, a 128-126 triple-overtime loss in Game 5 at the Boston Garden.
(b) The 1992-93 Phoenix Suns, season record: 62-20, who pushed the MJ-led Chicago Bulls to 6 games before a last second 3-pointer by Bulls' guard John Paxson silenced the America West Arena home crowd and the Suns themselves, finally vanquished by a score of 99-98.
(c) The 2006-07 Phoenix Suns, season record: TBD, currently on pace for 64+ wins and the number 2 seed in the Western conference, sporting a starting lineup of Steve Nash, Raja Bell, Shawn Marion, Amare Stoudemire and Boris Diaw (occassionally Kurt Thomas, Leandro Barbosa and James Jones step in, too, whenever Suns' coach Mike D'Antoni feels the need to experiment the his 8-man rotation).

The best Phoenix Suns team ever is...?nba draft prospects
No the PISTONS are they got 186 pts in a game
The best Phoenix Suns team ever is...?nba 2k ,nba teams
1993 was the best team ever, period. Barkley was the greatest!!! Report It
phoenix sucks
id love to say C. i love how the team plays and how theyre led by Nash. the team is a dangerous one that can rack up the points in a hurry. then off the bench they have good role players that can help defend and hit the open shots.
however i would have to argue that team B is the best. and the reason for that is because the team WENT TO THE NBA FINALS! going to the finals surely makes them the better team.
that was a good team with regular season MVP Charles Barkley running the team with solid role players like Dan Majerlie and Kevin Jonhson. they were also a very well coached team. because of their success, their ability to get to the Finals, and the fact that they had a regular season MVP, would make me give the nod to team B
I'm not quite for sure what the above post meant, but I'm going with (C). 2006-2007 Suns.
Amare Stoudamire may be one of the best players in the NBA, and is the top 1 or 2 at his position. (Howard is right there)
Everyone is capable of scoring 20+ every game w/ exception of Jones (streaky shooter) %26amp; Thomas (not enough creativity).
I'm gunna say C......though I was around for the 92-93 season and I have to say the atmosphere in Phoenix supporting the team was a whole lot better, not that its bad now.....I just remember everyone wearing purple and orange around town....people writing "Go Suns" on their roofs....people were selling suns shirts and merchandise on the street corners around town.....etc
no way. their 2004-2005 season was the best. we got Steve Nash, we had a 62-20 record, and we were the most unstoppable team in the league.
i, too, am not sure what the heck that pistons person is talking about, but i'm going with C. They have the most complete team, besides the Dallas Mavericks in the NBA. All of their players, except for amare and thomas and burke can drain threes. Marion, Diaw, and Stoudemire are great and talented forewards. Nash and Barbosa are the best 1-2 point guards in the nba. Not to mention, Mike D'Antoni is one of the best coaches in the NBA.
